In a recent analysis conducted by Deloitte, on the impact of the changing world of law enforcement and their role in the communities they serve they used the following quote to introduce their study overview...

"New forms of crime, advanced technologies, and evolving relationships with the new communities are shifting the very foundations of police work. New tools and a new police strategy- one that goes beyond solely enforcement or community engagement- are needed. But success at these changes will require a shift to the culture of many departments." - Deloitte Insights

Physical Security Principles Redefined
The underlying foundational physical security principle employed by banks, regardless of size, geographic location or asset size is the utilization of some form of the concept of "Deter, Detect, Delay, Respond, and Recover" as it relates to the physical security measures employed by the bank. These measures, simple or complex, are geared to protect people, data, and physical assets from injury or harm, and rely upon police responses as part of the bank strategy.

The Rechel Group has been studying the impact of the events over the last year (an evolution that began much earlier) and has developed an innovative new seminar to assist bankers in navigating through the rapids of the changing world of bank security.
