Program Content
The numerous data breaches of 2020 have set up a perfect storm for unprecedented tax refund fraud in 2021. While the ACH Rules do not impose liability on an RDFI for accepting credits, there are other considerations, including BSA/AML, that MUST be incorporated into your fraud program.
Topics of Discussion Include:
• Common identification methods
• What to do when you discover possible tax refund fraud (state and federal)
• Returns when only a portion of the credit are still in the account
• Compliance requirements that go beyond the ACH Rules
